Honda Classic over, PGA National returns to normal

PGA National is a mammoth community in Palm Beach Gardens.  Small communities make up this resort community located between PGA Blvd. and Northlake Blvd. with homes at every price point up to nearly $1 million.

The heart of the development is the PGA National Resort & Spa and the four golf courses, each named for a towering figure in the world of golf.  The PGA of America has it's national headquarters here too.

Last week, the PGA Tour swept into town to play the Honda Classic on The Champion course.  Many locals like Camilo Villegas and Rickie Fowler were in attendance.  But the big news was that local Jupiter Island resident Tiger Woods made his first appearance at the event.  He played once as an amateur but not as a pro.  It was reported that attendance was up 40,000 over last year and I know that when I was there on Thursday the place was packed.

Each community posted a sign warning you not to park, or even attempt to park, there or face immediate towing.

So now that Tiger has gone back to Jupiter Island and Rickie Fowler has gone to his Jupiter home things are getting back to normal here.  The 164 residents who have their homes on the market will be glad to see things quiet down.  I'm sure there were fewer showings while the show was in town.

Tiger and the other hot players are certainly good for business.  In addition to the $38 million he paid for his houses, he moved his business here into the building formerly occupied by Greg Norman's White Shark business.

And Rickie Fowler plunked down nearly $1,000,000 for a home on the Loxahatchee River.

One thing the PGA residents who live on The Champion course will miss though is sitting on their back patios with a cool adult beverage watching the tournament live.

You can see all Palm Beach Gardens homes for sale at Coastal Florida Real Estate where every home listed for sale along with every picture is there.  No site has any more current or different data.
